2012 Literary Journal Launch: Musebox
We were honoured and delighted to launch with Professor Christopher Morash of the NUI Maynooth English, Media and Theatre Studies Department the 2011/2012 Edition of the Society's Annual Literary Journal, this year entitled 'Musebox'.
The evening, convened by Editor Christina Murphy. was held in The Creative Arts Centre Maynooth on 2 May 2012.
Writers successful in their submissions read excerpts of their work spanning prose, fiction, short stories, poetry and monologues - charting adventures on the Bolivian Terrain, living through the diagnosis of illness, the soul searching of youth, and even the frustrations of parenthood.
This years journal received hundreds of entries from right across the NUIM, St. Pats, and Kilkenny Campuses - and is only a sample of the high-quality work and writing scene developing in Maynooth.
We were delighted we could be a part of facilitating such writing, and would like to thank everyone who contributed & edited - particular thanks to Maynooth Students Union, and the Office of Student Activities for their generous support of our project.
Proceeds of the book sale will go to Sonas, a charity for Mothers and Children surving domestic abuse.
